Great afternoon today on peg 22 in Barney's Lake. Started on the pellet wag and had a few carp and good ide before swapping to the pole shallow at 11m for more carp.
Fed a line in the margins to the left with some micros and corn and when I had a look after 30 minutes it was solid. Had one a bung for an hour before the heat beat me.
Super fishing as always and the pond looked in fine fettle

Fished yesterday, back at work this morning so only now have time to post.Karen and I had a great day,Barneys peg 6.She started on pellet,a few decent carp then went quiet.Switched to sweet corn.endless quality carp and bream, dark brown, not skimmers.Me being me kept to red maggot and caster combo, carp, skimmers roach and a good sized tench. My best carp around 4lb on double caster fished on the drop, took at about 6 inches below the surface.I can see a match being won by a double ton this season, conifer is definitely a top notch fishery.

Enjoyed an evening session on the big lake with Martin Henderson. Fished peg 20, started out on the method feeder with white wafter close to the lily pads on the left side, switched to 6mm hair-rigged hard pellet and had a couple carp to around 2lb. Had a couple of chucks tight to the island and hooked into something big, but it managed to spit the hook out before I saw what it was. Went back to the lily pads on the left, but changed tactic to pellet wag (6mm banded pellet and 6mm pellets fed over the top), which proved to be a roaring success. Lots of carp, from a few ounces up to 3lb. Noticed a swirl under my feet, dropped the pellet wag where I saw the movement and landed a gorgeous 4lb fully scaled mirror. Spent the rest of the evening switching between these two swims, depth set around 15inches and had more fish than I could keep count of. Cracking session in lovely surroundings!
